The Advertising Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose careers have made a lasting impact on the advertising industry. Inductees may be American or international. Each must demonstrate an extraordinary career spanning at least 35 years or have a completed body of work that reflects sustained influence and achievement.
Inductees uphold the highest ethical standards and strengthen the reputation of the profession. Their work advances the U.S. advertising industry and benefits their communities.
AAF is now accepting nominations for the 2027 class. The nomination deadline is July 10, 2026.
The David Bell Award for Industry Service
The David Bell Award for Industry Service recognizes Advertising Hall of Fame inductees who have made exceptional contributions to the advertising industry. The award is named for David Bell (Hall of Fame Class of 2007), a visionary industry leader and mentor to generations of advertising professionals. He remains the only executive to have led all four of the industry’s leading organizations that includes The Ad Council, The Advertising Educational Foundation, The American Advertising Federation, and The American Association of Advertising Agencies.
The award honors individuals who exceed the Hall of Fame standards of excellence through sustained service and leadership that strengthen the entire advertising community. The Council of Judges selects recipients from among Hall of Fame nominees at its discretion.

Corporate Induction Criteria
Each year, the AAF President and CEO, AAF Chairman of the Board, and Advertising Hall of Fame Chair present one corporate organization in nomination to the Council of Judges for induction into the Hall. Organizations selected must demonstrate a sustained and meaningful impact on the advertising industry through innovation, leadership, and service as illustrated by the following requirements:
Legacy or Pioneering Influence – Recognized pioneer within its category or area of business or operational for at least 25 years.
Industry Advancement Through Innovation – Demonstrated advancement of the advertising industry through the execution of innovative strategies, campaigns, or business models.
Commitment to Ethical Standards – Adherence to the AAF Advertising Ethics and Principles as adopted by the AAF Board of Directors on March 2, 1984.
Promotion of Diversity and Multiculturalism – Proven commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and its work.
Community and Industry Engagement – Meaningful and sustained contributions to community initiatives and the broader advertising industry.
Global Industry Leadership – Recognition as a leading organization with a strong reputation and influence on a global scale.
